Option 1: Auto Updater (Recommended)
How to use the Auto Updater
- Download the Auto Updater from #guide on Discord
- Place it anywhere on your VPS or PC
- Run the updater
- Select your MT5 terminal if multiple are detected
- The updater will download and install the latest EA automatically
- Follow the on-screen instructions to attach the EA
Features:
- Auto-finds all MT5 terminals on your PC
- Checks server for available updates
- Downloads and installs EA directly to
MQL5/Experts/ - Shows installation instructions after update
Note
Full auto-attach is not possible due to MT5 limitations. After the updater installs the file, you still need to attach the EA to your chart (see Option 2 below).
Option 2: Manual Update
If you prefer not to use the Auto Updater, follow the steps below.
Download the New EA File
- Download the new EA file (
.ex5) from Discord - Open your MT5 Data Folder:
- File → Open Data Folder → MQL5 → Experts
- Delete or replace the old EA file
- Paste the new EA file into the
Expertsfolder
Refresh & Attach the New EA
- In MT5, refresh the Navigator panel:
- Press
Ctrl+N, then right-click → Refresh
- Press
- Find the EA in Navigator → Expert Advisors
- Drag and drop it onto your Gold (XAUUSD) chart
- A popup will ask: "Replace the current Expert Advisor?"
- Click YES
Load Your Settings (IMPORTANT!)
- In the EA settings window, go to the Inputs tab
- Click the Load button
- Select the
.setfile you downloaded from Discord - Click Open — Your settings are now loaded!
Verify & Start
- Check the ✅ Allow Algo Trading checkbox in settings
- Click OK to attach the EA
- Verify the overlay shows the new version number
- Check that Algo Trading is enabled (green icon in toolbar)
Done!
Your EA is updated and running.
